You can check out the other bands involved in the final by following the links below
- TRAIL song "City"
Trail are a five piece rock/indie band from London who received financing from Slice The Pie. so they have already impressed reviewers their before reaching the final ten in this contest.
- BLACK DANIEL song "I love you but don't touch me cause you're sick"
Black Daniel are another rock band but a bit heavy and up-beat. They are a three piece from London and New York.
- SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION song "Feels like a Monday"
From the easternmost town in Britain, Lowestoft, this four piece grunge band came in late to replace SjW yet still managed fifth place.
- DEFERRED SUCESS song "Make a living"
This alt/folk/punk band from Southend in Essex contributed the song whic has been adopted as the groups unofficial theme tune, with its opening line "I'm not looking for fame, I'm just looking for a living."
- PABLO ESKIMO song "Bunny Boiler"
Undoubtedly the most upbeat, quirky and fun rock track came from Pablo Eskimo the Glasgow based three piece. Bunny Boiler take a wry look at a twisted relationship and has a top class video to go with it.
- ANIELKA song "Rain is me"
Nobody really imagine we would get a band from Finland but Anielka with her pure sweet voice and new age sound gave a nice contrast to the rock songs that made up half the top ten.
- BILL MONAGHAN song "So close to God"
Another international artist to make the top ten was Bill Monaghan, with "So Close to God" a lament for his late brother. With hints of John Denver and Billy Joel.
- LIMESHARK song "Not quite Nashville"
The MIGHTY limeshark a prog/rock band from Lincolnshire. They lead the comtest from the start but had to pull out for personal reasons. We hope they will re-enter for the second contest in March.
- SjW song "4am"
Also pulled out of the contest but had made a late surge to qualify with a flurry of late votes.

DO NOT make the mistake of thinking that these songs are not good.
I was particularly sad to see some of them not quite make it.

- IN ISOLATION Song "Virus"
New wave/post punk four piece from Nottingham, they have had a little trouble getting their song heard as people are unwilling to download "Virus" they should not worry. It's a great track.
- DAYLIGHT SAVING Song "Sunshine is a state of mind"
Just a stunningly beautiful voice enveloped by equally wonderful musicianship. This uplifting song will cheer you up on the gloomiest day.
- SCARLET'S WAKE Song "Smile (I've got knives)"
From the opening bars with the sound of a rifle being cocked you know you are in for a wild ride. Scarlet's wake are a proper metal band, but nevertheless musical, with a strong female vocal. This is balls out rock without fear of being a little rough around the edges. That's what makes it so good.
- THE NURSE WHO LOVED ME Song "The final sleep"
Heavily distorted modern rock/gruunge with a Foo fighters/Doves sort of feel.
- GRAND UNION HIJACK Song "Shutdown"
Four piece rock band from London.
- ME MY HEAD Song "Valentine"
Bouncy up beat rock song which might have been the ideal winner if we had a contest finishing at the end of January as it would have been in time for Valentine's day.
- ROCKETSMITH Song "Three car pile up"
Another upbeat rock band this time a four piece from North Yorkshire.
- TheMeMeMes Song "Skin between us"
Two talented musicians from Cardiff with a light laid back approach to soft rock.
- JANN KLOSE Song "Doing time"
From New York city although born in Germany Jann has a soaring voice with a superb range and control. His songs are inventive and melodic.
- MAIA Song "Sidelines"
Alternative acoustic band with an eclectic approach to songwriting and instrumentation.
- JUSTICE FORCE 5 Song "Fight the fight"
From Brighton a five piece with a bit of character and decent rock songs.
- SUNDAE CLUB Song "Honey bee"
This song could have been done by Paul McCartney. In fact if it were it would be a hit without question.
Proof if it were needed that the music business is unfair.
- THE KEYZ Song "Don't let go"
One of two Slice the Pie graduate bands to enter and reach the top 30, the Keyz are from London and play a good solid brand of pop/punk/rock.
- IMPOSTERS Song "In between the psychos"
The only band in the top 30 to come from North Wales. Alt rock quite a modern sound, with a low key intro that builds.
- MOMENTO MORI Song "Big nadir"
Probably one of the dirtiest bands in the contest, these guys from the north east of England make plenty of use of distortion in this dark track.
- REVOLUTION Song "Burning man"
Epic indie rock with great vocals. London based four piece band. I forgot to take the rating off when voting ended and they have since managed to go up to a finals qualifying score!
- AWAITING APPROVAL Song "I'll do anything"
A superb prog/rock/emo band from the Midlands. Formed at Birmingham university, the submitted song is a masterpiece with a superb vocal and even better guitar playing.
- PAINTBOX Song "Jar of nails"
An excellent blues rock band from Philadelphia Pennsylvania, there is an active growing campaign to bring them over to the UK which was catalysed by their participation in this contest.
- CONTRABAND Song "Take me away"
In the process of changing from a covers band to an originals band they are changing their name to "The Feud" to avoid a clash of names with another "Contraband" as a result they did not pursue the competition very hard as they would not have been ready had they won.
