BAND BIOG
Originally formed in 1987 in Middlesbrough, northern England, Momento Mori UK were very active participants in the UK alternative scene of the late 80's/early 90's. Soon after their formation, they were touring extensively in the UK and Europe. The band reformed in 2007 after a 15 year hiatus. In Dec 09 the band debuted their first CD album rntitled "In Harms Way"
Momento Mori never had any issues with being branded as a goth rock band, we welcomed it and swiftly became a part of the national alternative scene
Back to the present day - so why should you listen to us? We often get told "you`re not what i was expecting", but in a good way :-) We didn`t set out to sound like other goth bands, but obviously draw influences from bands of the era. We believe in writing decent melodies, with strong guitar and bass lines. There are no fillers in our live sets, but we would say that wouldnt we?
