Paint Box is thought of as a power trio with a singer. Combining rock, funk and progressive stylings and being from Philadelphia, some have called the Paint Box sound Phrog Rock. Paint Box writes songs to stimulate and challenge themselves while still retaining accessibility to the mainstream audience.

The current line-up of Jeff Boyer on drums, Clarence Horne on bass, Michael McClellan on guitar and August Roderick on vocals has been building a solid fan-base by rocking the Eastern seaboard of the United States since October of 2007.
